No new job & travelling

I was sad today... I did not get a new job :(

But looking on this from the bright side: I do have an old job. It is much easier to look for a new job if you have already one... much less stressfull.

Unemployment rate is our country has been very high for the last few years (as in majority of the world), there are really almost no new job openings. So I guess it is not really likely to find anything soon (especially because I am looking for a job that is not less paid as my current job).

So I can easily take few weeks off work and go somewhere travelling in May with my husband. I will have an interesting week:  checking out different flights to different countries. I love travelling so much!

  1. Sorry you didn't get the job. Keep us posted to where you are traveling to. I will not be traveling far this year so I will love to see pictures.

  2. I'm sorry you didn't get the job. But (as I am also looking for jobs/contracts at the moment) - look at it as good interviewing practice for the job you REALLY want!

Oooh - travelling in May. Wonder where you'll end up?

  3. hi girls,
I haven't really been to any job interview for 10 years, so I guess I am a bit out of practice. I agree - it was a good training for the future job interviews.

We haven't really decided regarding the destination, but our favourite for the moment is Malaysia.

    1. I've been to Malaysia a couple of times. I am very biased though, and much prefer Thailand (no kidding - I've lived there!). Happy to give ideas if you want some help planning!

    2. dear Mali,
I would love to hear your suggestions regarding Malaysia! I have never been there. We will be there for only 2 weeks.
We already were in Thailand couple of years ago and liked it. But we always prefer to discover something new.
      Looking forward to your suggestions!

  4. Sorry to hear you didn't get the job. It took me over a year to land my new job. It was a rollercoaster ride to say the least. I would think I had the "job" and then something would fall thru. It was very hard to keep the pace up of looking at times. I took some well deserved mini breaks at time and did exactly like you took some vacation time. Don't get too discouraged, that new job is out there (even in this tough economy) and that will turned out to be the right one for you. Enjoy planning your trip.
