I am a 50-something European woman doing what I once thought wasn't possible: finding happiness after infertility. While it's been a long, difficult and emotional journey (10 unsuccessful IVF treatments), each day I take another step down the path toward a fulfilling new life. This is my story of reinvention.

To survive today
Reminder for today: do not listen to the radio, don't watch TV, don't go on FB today.
In this part of Europe we celebrate mother's day today.
Yeah! Good to hear that you survived the day :) I hate(H A T E) mothersday, and I hate that I get remined about the day on TV, radio and FB! (In Norway we have mothersday in february)
dear girls, thank you for your warm & lovely comments. I just can't imagine my life without you!
The hardest part of yesterday's Mothersday was today's ride to work. I took public transport (since it was snowing a lot). And I made a mistake of sitting on a last available sit, near two women my age. And they were talking only about one thing. THey were actually competing - whose husband and whose kids made a better surprise. I tried to ignore the conversation and focus on the book... but I couldn't.
After that - the day in the office went really good! I am really happy to have a job that I like. Not that evetrything is perfect. But I really like working what I work.
I survived! The day is almost over :)
ReplyDeleteI even managed to call my Mum to say congratulations on Mothers' Day. To be frank, I am really really happy that she did become a mother :)
We're glad she did too! ;-)
