Really Happy not to have Children

Sometimes I am really really happy that we don't have children. Reason?

If we had children, they would be born into a non democratic country in the middle of Europe.

The same communist regime that ruled from the year 1945 is still ruling. It is disguised as new parties, but it is the same thing.

The leader of the Democratic party  has been convicted of corruption and sentenced to prison yesterday based on no evidence. The main reason: to eliminate him from the next election.

I still think our country is one of the best places for a holiday. It just isn't a nice place for a living.

  1. How frustrating! I've watched this sort of thing happen in a number of countries where I've lived or worked. I can't imagine how it feels (or can only imagine) when it is your country. I mean, I get frustrated at NZ politics, but we are consistently at the top of the transparency/non-corrupt world lists. I should remember that and feel lucky.

  2. Ugh, politics. I can relate because I came from a country where many things are still so chaotic, though there does seem to be some improvement going on. We shall see about it.

  3. Oh Klara, I can totally relate. I am from Eastern Europe and I know first hand how painful is to live in a beautiful country being destroyed by all-level corruption and dishonest politicians.

    1. Dear Obie, so you are from a country very close to me. May I ask you, which one?

    1. Yes, Ukraine is not that far away from us (I have never been there). Many times I also wish I lived in the US.
