Sweet eternal dreams, my beloved Wolf

Today early in the morning I kissed my beloved Wolf and said goodbye.
Then my DH (=his master) took him to the vet for an euthanasia.

My heart is broken.
My only consolation it that our beloved Wolf is not in pain any more.
I miss him terribly.

PS: the photo was taken few years ago, when he was perfectly healthy.

  5. Shepherds are such loyal followers; they become such a large part of our lives. They are so smart. Remember all of the good times you had together; all the long walks... ((HUGS)))

  8. PS: yesterday me & DH looked at all the photos in Wolf's album. And only yesterday did I realize when exactly was this photo taken.
It was taken in September 2011, on the day when we found out that our 10th and final IVF didn't work out. It was a really dark day, when I felt I started slipping towards depression. We both took a day off work and went with beloved Wolf walking in our national park.
No wonder that I love this picture of the Wolf so much. It simbolizes that with his joy in life he helped me finding joy in my life as well.

  9. Dear Klara,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much our furry friends mean to us and how hard it is to part with them. Your Wolf must have been so happy with you all those years, with the beautiful walks every day and with the strong loving bond you had with him.
I send you lots of hugs and comfort.

  15. I have been so afraid to see this post. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. It is so difficult to lose a pet. My vet has always reminded me that he thinks of his own mom, and her horribly painful end with cancer, and how he is so glad that he can keep animals from that torturous struggle.
