Afraid

I got a letter from the hospital back, after the mammography.

The letter was short. No results. Only an invitation for some further tests (ultrasound of breasts).

I have to go back to the hospital in the first week of December.

Such a long wait!

I am afraid.

I went for a walk. I met plenty of people, some with children.

I wasn't envious of extra cute babies that I met with their parents.

I was just envious of all people that I met with a smile on their face.... without the heavy burden.

  1. That's the worst thing to deal with... fear of the unknown, not knowing what to expect. I had gone through that last October to December... Just remember something- even with the unknown facing you, you have friends and family who are there for you.

  3. Waiting is never good; it does seem like a long time. One would hope that they would have a better explanation for the "more tests". UGH.

  4. Ouch...waiting for something like this must be agonizing, but I hope everything goes well in the end. Keep us updated!!! Maybe they're just being safe and they want to rule out everything so that they order more tests.

  8. A few years ago I had to have an breast u/s after a mammo raised concerns. Turns out I have very dense, fibrocystic breast tissue. My doctor encouraged me to take vitamin E as a supplement.
