Baking a traditional potica

I bought myself a wonderful new year gift: a traditional round baking tray made of clay.

Baking potica is part of every Slovenian holiday. It was delicious!

  2. Oh wow, that looks amazing! How/when do you eat it? Is it sweet for dessert? Or instead of a cake?

Have fun using your new baking dish.

    1. Potica is sweet, so we eat it instead of a cake. I love to eat it with coffee. As a child I ate it with milk.

Here is cool recipe in English: https://jernejkitchen.com/recipes/nuts/potica

    2. Oooh thanks! (Yes, that was me in case you didn't guess.) I love Slovenian cakes. lol (I remember the Lake Bled cake, which we found at a supermarket and ate at a picnic at the top of the pass we drove over to get back to Italy.)

  3. Thank you for sharing these pictures! I really like seeing the process of making potica. It looks so good! I want some with coffee for breakfast and then some more with milk for dessert after dinner. :)
