The life that is waiting for us

I am currently reading Dan Brown's latest novel Origin and I just love the quote that I found there.

  1. This is the quote that broke me open and began my healing. I was watching a tv show of all things when I first heard it. I had just stopped fertility treatments, was very depressed, and was wondering... What now. Then I heard this quote and it hit me. I immediately started crying so hard that my husband rushed up the stairs to see what was the matter. I was on the couch, rocking back and forth, and I couldn't even talk. This quote spoke to me. It told me that there was a different life waiting for me. It opened me up so that I could finally begin grieving, which led to these past several years of healing. Just a few weeks after hearing this quote, I saw a video that excited me and made me feel happy (two emotions I had not felt in a very long time) and it inspired me to go back to school for a new career. And that's where I am now. Sorry for the long comment! It's just that this quote really did a lot for me: broke me, opened me up, and allowed healing to begin.

    1. dear Phoenix, I love long comments! I am glad that it began your healing process!

  2. Yes, I found this quote and it explains everything about my philosophy. I'm glad you like it too.

  3. I like to quote, too. And I love what Phoenix wrote about it in her comment!
There is one part that makes me pause though: "get rid" is such an active and radical expression... food for thought!

  4. This is one of my very favourite quotes... I have it in the sidebar on my blog. :) Very true!!
